Archaeological Sites at Birchtown: AkDi-27

Location of AkDi-27 at Birchtown

This late nineteenth / early twentieth century site was a six by five meter structure with a dressed stone-lined cellar. There are stone walls around the site, as well as an isolated section of stone wall about 42 metres southwest of the dwelling feature. This site was not tested archaeologically as historical research will likely reveal the identity of the former occupants.   Go back to Archaeological Sites page
