A variety of artifacts were recovered during archaeological excavations at the DesBarres residence. On the left is a riveted bone handle from a table fork with incised decoration. The fork likely had two tines (prongs) and dates to the third quarter of the eighteenth century.

The photo on the right shows a glass disc shaped decanter stopper with cut facets. The shank or "plug" portion of the stopper is missing. Stoppers of this design were popular during the second half of the eighteenth century.
