
Pubnico, a quaint and picturesque fishing village where wharves abound and fishermen flourish is nestled along the pristine shores of Southwest Nova Scotia.Most days the wharves are abuzz with activity as local fishermen unload their catches of groundfish, lobster, herring, swordfish, tuna and scallops, depending upon the season.
Local fishermen are always delighted to chat with tourists, proud to show their fishing boats and eager eager to share tales of their adventures at sea.

Irish moss and seaweed are also a product of our waters. You can often see skiffs, overladen with a harvest reaped at low tide, slowly making their way to a wharf.
