ecolepo 36What was life like for Acadian families in the early 1900s? Our program introduces students to the daily lives of Acadians. Girls learn skills such as sewing, doing laundry, cooking, making butter and candles. Boys learn skills such as tying knots, trying their hand at woodworking, watching the construction of a wooden lobster trap, learning the proper way to stack wood and helping in and planting the garden.

Activities are adaptable to all grade levels.

Offered in both French and English.
One chaperone for each group of 10.                               (15 girls= 2 chaperones; 15 girls +15 boys= 4)

Fee: $2 per student (Teachers/chaperones & bus drivers free).

Time: Arrive at 10 and spend 2 hours. (flexible).
4 activities (gender defined) 20 min each.
