BjCj-18
site: Shell-Edged Pearlware Plates
| These
fragments of plates were found at a house site in East Tracadie
(BjCj-18). Since this ceramic ware was produced in England from
1780 to the 1830s, one can associate the house with a first
or second generation Black Loyalist family. Although the pearlware
plate rims found at this site suggest it was occupied by the
family of one of the original grantees, more research is required
before anyone can say which family lived here. |
