St.
Paul's Anglican Church, Halifax
| This etching shows St. Paul's Anglican church in Halifax, at the south end of the Grand Parade, the public land at the centre of town where troops exercised. The church was built in 1750, one year after the British established the fortified town of Halifax. Also referred to as the Church of England, the Anglican church was, and is, the official (or state) church of England.
