Fundy Geological Museum Now Open! 

Expect to be surprised when you visit Fundy Geological Museum! Our new permanent exhibit gallery  is now opened.  360 virtual tour

Stop by and explore the museum’s whole new take on the rocks, minerals, dinosaurs and glaciers. Interactive displays throughout the gallery lead you through half a billion years of geological history. Find out how geology helped to shape Nova Scotia’s cultural landscape that we enjoy today.

New exhibits providing a range of experiences for visitors and include: Bay of Fundy Time Machine, a first hand view of the geological history of the Parrsboro area beginning with the ancient supercontinent Pangea, Trackways, a display showcasing fossil imprints, from insects to dinosaurs, and Big Bowl of Rock Soup, exploring links between geology and Nova Scotia's cultural heritage.

 


People on seashoreWho are weThe Fundy Geological Museum displays an ancient world and some of the oldest dinosaur bones in Canada. Meet some of the ancient creatures that lived here millions of years ago: the world's first reptiles, early dinosaurs, giant dragonflies, an ancestor of frogs and a sow-bug-like creature as long as a baseball bat. So many great fossils!

Explore mineral treasures of Nova Scotia exposed when the great Fundy tides washed away the sea cliffs. See a collection of beautiful amethyst and agate gem stones.
