Current Lab Update

Unidentifed Prosauropod Bones

  •  The technician works on sandstone containing unidentified prosauropod bones.
  • Jewelry could damage the bones so gloves are worn by the technician.

  • Significant work has been completed in the past week on this specimen.
Museum Exhibits

  • Coal is prepared for the coal exhibit while pebbles are collected from the local beaches.

  • A sandbag is used to cushion the bone.
  • The hand pick is used very carefully to uncover this delicate area.

  • This area was checked for bones before the micro-jack was used to clear away more sandstone.
