Highland Village offers a variety of programs on Gaelic Culture, Dance and Language

The vision of the Highland Village Museum/An Clachan Gàidhealach is to be internationally acknowledged for advancing research, fostering appreciation, learning and sharing authentic Gaelic language and heritage while serving a vibrant Gaelic cultural community. Visitors to Highland Village Museum will find opportunities to learn around every corner.

From our Roots Cape Breton Genealogy & Family History Centre, to our 11 animated period buildings you’ll find something for everyone. We offer programs and events such as Pioneer Day, Highland Village Day, Storas a Bhaile, a Gaelic Folklife Immersion Program and many more programs and events designed to foster and promote Gaelic culture in Nova Scotia.
