Interested in starting a garden? Want to learn about composting or how to cut back that old apple tree? Then join us for a seminar hosted at the beautiful Highland Village Museum in Iona. Learn about choosing the right site, improving your soil and managing some common weeds and pests. The seminar will introduce what is meant by sustainable production and what novice gardeners and beginner enthusiasts can do to reduce their impact on the environment through more proactive approaches. The seminar is of 3 hours duration which leaves plenty of time to explore the museum and other activities taking place. Please note this seminar is aimed at the beginner, as it is an introduction to the basics, but all skill levels and experiences are welcome." Cost is $10 per person, please register in advance.
