This man's name appears variously as Ekien Laksi (the Mi'kmaq variation of Etienne Alexis), Eggien Luxcey, and Haggie or Heggie Luzzie. One story is that he considered himself a crossing guard for this particular railroad crossing and would politely bow cars across it.
