Mondays
Sept. to June
(Alternate nights might be available during winter months.)
CSS Acadia Give your students an opportunity to experience a night at sea with dry decks, no fog, and comfortable surroundings.

About the Program
Night Watch will provide your class with an evening of fun, games, and challenge and help you meet your classroom objectives. A framework of fantasy begins the moment the children walk in the door and continues with a sleepover in one of Atlantic Canada's premier heritage institutions. days of sail gallery

The sea offers adventure but it also offers mystery and danger - those who venture on it must be prepared. Young landlubbers will become ‘Seasoned Sailors' as they learn about a real ship, how to find their way on the sea, and then are introduced to some nautical dangers - such as pirates, ghosts and war.

About the Museum
The Maritime Museum of the Atlantic is a fascinating place to experience our rich maritime culture. The Museum's many galleries and exhibits display thousands of artifacts - the largest artifact, the 52-metre 1913 hydrographic ship CSS Acadia, is permanently berthed at the Museum's wharf. These resources are a practical doorway for learning about history, math, science, language arts, social studies and technology.
