This attraction has been designated one of the Signature Attractions of Atlantic Canada - a partnership of the twenty premier cultural, natural and heritage attractions in the Atlantic Canada region. Signature Attractions of Atlantic Canada receives funding support from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency.

At the Heart of Halifax's Historic Waterfront,  on Lower Water Street  at the foot of Prince Street... just a short five minute stroll from Historic Properties.

The Maritime Museum is fully accessable to visitors in wheelchairs, with a passenger elevator, wheelchair stalls
in the heads and new main entrance doors thanks to the
Company of Master Mariners and the Halifax Rotary Club.
