Daniel Steinmann - 1884
Gardner Shoal, near Sambro Island

This painting shows a portrait of the auxiliary steamship Daniel Steinmann which sank off Sambro Lighthouse near Halifax. The ship was named after the founder of the White Cross Line and you can see the company house flag flying on the mizzen mast along with her signal flags.
