Why do Shipwrecks Happen? ... weather

Storms and fog are great killers of ships. The Atlantic region has more storms per year than any other in Canada. Storms sink vessels when they are overwhelmed by “stress of weather”.

Fog is also deadly as it leads vessels off course and into danger.
