Description
A time of her loss, FLEURUS was a circus ship.
Story
FLEURUS caught fire loaded with circus animals and performers. All the people were evacuated and all the animals were saved, except for some zebras who could not be rescued from the hold and drowned. Yarmouth firefighters had anxious moments and stood by with loaded rifles when one of the lion cages fell onto the wharf and nearly broken open ! Damaged by the fire and flooded by fire hoses, FLEURUS sank at the wharf.
