Shipwreck Details

Description
YPRES was decommissioned in 1920, then recommissioned for training in 1923. In 1938 she was refitted and used as a gate vessel for the Halifax boom defence.
Story
Run down by HMS REVENGE while acting as gate vessel at Halifax. Fortunately there was no loss of life. For the remainder of the war, the crews of the other gate vessels would pantomime elaborate collision preparations every time HMS REVENGE came through the gates.
