The Nova Scotia Sea School, in partnership with the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, is inviting the public to come watch and participate in the restoration of the Sea School’s first original sailboat for youth expeditions and day sails, Dorothea.
The complete restoration of this Sable Island Surf Boat - designed vessel will take place in the courtyard of the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic this fall.
On Saturday, May 11th, the Sea School staff will be relaunching Dorothea as part of our small craft open house. The launch will take place at 12:30 pm and there will be a reception to follow in the boatshed. All interested members of the public are invited to attend.
