Titanic Lives - Book Launch and Presentation by Rob Rondeau
Halifax
Heritage, Marine

April 17, 2012

The sinking of RMS Titanic claimed the lives of people of all walks of life and classes. Rich or poor, the events of April 14 and 15, 1912 did not recognize wealth, prominence or position.

Join noted marine archaeologist Rob Rondeau at 7:30 pm for the launch of his book, “Titanic Lives: On Board, Destination Canada” as he explores the fates of those who booked their passages on Titanic’s first and only voyage.

Through his research Rob has formed a powerful bond not only with the ship but her passengers and crew. His insight offers a moving look into those lives changed forever in the icy waters of the North Atlantic. Be it railroad tycoon, cabaret dancer or ex-soldier, he weaves together the unique and compelling stories of ten people sharing one common thread - they were all on board Titanic. Following the presentation, Mr. Rondeau will be signing his book as copies will be available for purchase.

The Royal Canadian Mint's artists of the 2012 - 100th Anniversary of the R.M.S. Titanic commemorative coins series will be in attendance to present Mr. Rondeau with a special gift.

This launch and presentation is free to the public, but donations to Feed Nova Scotia are welcome.
