The straight, steep scarp (District 220) of the Aspy Fault separates the northern extension of the Cape Breton Highlands Plateau-Fir Forest (District 210) from the Coastal Plain (Unit 552). In the foreground the vegetation of the Cape Breton Plateau-Taiga (Region 100 above 500 m is seen on the granit massif which dominates northern Cape Breton Island.
