two foot prints at the bottom of the rock? What do you think
made the tracks? The first thing a palaeontologist does is to
figure out how many "digits" or "fingers" are preserved. Then
we look for impressions of claws. If there are more than two
tracks, we try to figure out how the front "paw" and back "paw"
overlap each other. These are just a few of the questions we
ask ourselves when we are trying to figure out what made a track.
