Pseudobradypus These foot prints and body drag were made by an amphibian as it walked over a beach on a rainy day long ago. How do we know this? Can you see all the round dots? These are imprints made by rain drops as they hit wet sand. The rain drops made indents and then were later filled in by more sand, creating a cast -- that's why they now appear as raised dots.

The large rounded bumps also give us information about the ancient environment in which the amphibian lived. These are ripple marks and they form when water flows over sand or silt. The creature was walking along a shore line in the rain.
