Facility Rentals at the Museum of Natural History

Boardroom Rental
 Hold your next executive meeting, training session or seminar at the Museum of Natural History. The Museum Boardroom comfortably accommodates 18-20 people around the table (although room capacity is 25). Food and beverages are permitted, as are working lunches, however catering arrangements must be made by the organization party renting.
Equipment: The room is equipped with a pull-down screen, white-board and markers, telephone, flip charts, an internet connection (requires 72 hrs notice) and a coat closet. Please review the equipment rental information and fees if you wish to use Museum equipment or intend to hook up a laptop computer.

Auditorium Rental
 Planning
a presentation, press-conference or a panel discussion?
The Museum Auditorium accommodates lecture-style presentations
of various sizes. The folding wall can be used to
divide the room into two spaces - a presentation and
adjoining meet and greet areas, or the wall can be
opened to allow for larger audiences. Fixed seating
is available for 60. Additional chairs may be available
(with notice). Room seating capacity (with folding
wall open) is 120 max.
Equipment:
The Auditorium is equipped with a large,
pull-down screen, MULTI-MEDIA UNIT, DVD,VCR, Podium
with fixed Microphone, Overhead Projector, Slide Projector,
and Internet Connection (72hrs notice required). Please

Gallery Rentals
 The
Museum of Natural History brings a unique atmosphere
to your special event, wedding, party or gathering.
The Marine Gallery and Museum Foyer provides a memorable
setting. The foyer houses traveling exhibits which
may add special ambiance to your event.
The space is most suitable for stand-up receptions
or cocktail-style events. If you wish to discuss options
for sit-down meals, the Museum can be flexible with
special arrangements, as long as Museum standards
for exhibit/artifact and building conservation are
followed. Many local caterers are familiar with the
Museum and special set-up and can be accommodated.
Please note that there are no kitchen facilities on
site.
Gallery
Rentals may also be combined with use of the Museum
Backyard, especially for weddings and receptions during
the summer months. See the Museum Backyard Section

Fees are negotiated with Museum staff before the event is confirmed. Prices may vary depending upon the level of staff involvement or set-up requirements. Staff consultation with caterers, florists and assistance during the event is compensated by an hourly rate.

Museum Backyard
 The Museum backyard offers a natural setting for events ranging from informal gatherings to weddings and wine and cheese receptions. Organizing parties may rent the backyard by itself or use it as part of a larger event located inside the building.
The backyard may be available for rent during regular Museum hours for informal events. Backyard
Rental Fees: Backyard events vary in size
and may or may not require staff involvement. Prices
generally range from $100-$570. If you wish to combine
use of the backyard with a gallery rental, prices
are negotiated with Museum staff.
