Discover the natural wonders of Nova Scotia all under one roof in the heart of Halifax city. Visitors to the Museum of Natural History will have lots to explore in one of our five permanent galleries and changing exhibition area.
The Museum is located just a ten minute walk from the shopping district of Spring Garden Road and only one block away from the historic Halifax Public Gardens.
We
are immediately west of the Halifax Citadel National
Historic site,—you can even see us from the
ramparts! The museum is accessible by bus, and by
foot we are a 15 minutes from the Halifax waterfront.
In summer look for the building with a giant frog
on it.
