Upcoming Events to know for sure. If not, we offer a display of paintings from our collection depicting historic gold mining areas in Nova Scotia. Twelve are featured in which the artist Joseph Purcell combined historical images, research, and modern views of some of the 65 gold mining districts that once dotted much of Nova Scotia. A free brochure found in the gallery provides more information on the paintings.
