Students learn about soap and candle-making at the crooked, charming Rosebank Cottage at Ross Farm Museum, New Ross. Because this home was located in the centre of mainland Nova Scotia, it was constructed by soldiers of the day, rather than shipbuilders. The lack of soldiers' structural training resulted in a slanted, uneven and very funky-looking Rosebank Cottage.
