Students from Mrs. Amirault's class pose with their hand-crafted woolen sheep and costumed interpreters Kevin and Melanie beside Simeon Perkins diary. Between 1766 and 1812, Simeon Perkins documented the community and colonial family life in his diary, a meticulous and important illustration of Nova Scotia's history. Diary entries mention ships' captains and goods coming and going...American privateers...children being born...and, the threat of the 1800 smallpox epidemic.
