These mermaids prefer to lounge on the lawn of the Seal Island Light Museum near the lupins, rather than on the sandy shores. This 35 foot lighthouse is a replica of the 67 foot Seal Island Lighthouse. The original lighthouse once had a seal oil lamp, but it is now run on by an automatic electric light.
