Heritage Chroniclers - Frank Patterson Day at The Sutherland Steam Mill
Kids afternoon program
2pm - 3:30pm
Readings from the fourth book in the Lemony Snicket series, "The Miserable Mill".
All children will be provided with tour of the mill (minor physical labor expected) a lunch (one stick of gum and a glass of fresh water) and a FREE millstore coupon (redeemable for very little - In fact nothing at all).
Evening program (Coffee House)
7:00 pm - 7:30 - Selected readings from the works of Frank Patterson
7:30 - 9:30 - A variety of readings from Nova Scotian Historians and authors

Antique tool display
Members of the Atlantic Tool Collectors Association will be displaying choice pieces from there personal collections at the mill from 10am to 3pm. Do you have an old tool you're curious about? This is a great chance to meet some folks who may be able to help.
Aug 15
North Shore Antique Tractor & Engine Club show & Old time music jam
The club is dedicated to the preservation of a part of our heritage by promoting the collection, restoration and display of antique agricultural equipment.
And while enjoying some old time engines and tractor come listen or play to some old time tunes.
Banjos, fiddles, guitars, dobros, mandolins, hammered dulcimers, and any other instrument welcome.
Beginner and intermediate sessions will be held on site. Tunes played at the jams will include Angeline Baker, Soldier's Joy, Cripple Creek, Bill Cheathum, Old Joe Clark, Hop High Ladies, Mississippi Sawyer, and many more.
Runs from 10am -3pm
