SHERBROOKE VILLAGE PHOTOGRAPHY CAMP - October 4 to 7. Sherbrooke Village will be hosting a four day photography workshop featuring well known photographer Wally Hayes. The village offers a wealth of material for pictures which has inspired photographers for many years. There could be no more beautiful setting for this learning experience than the shores of the St. Mary’s River and the historic Sherbrooke Village site with its wealth of colour and architecture. BEAD EMBROIDERY CAMP – September 18 and 19. Two day workshop with instructor Meg Wilcox, Sherbrooke Villages own costumer. Heritage crafts are in and we have the perfect setting. Participants are welcome to come on Friday evening to get settled in. Cost $299 each plus HST. Meals and lodging included. Kits with supplies you require will be sold separately at a cost of $25. VICTORIAN-STYLE FELT APPLIQUE EMBROIDERY WORKSHOP – July 17, 12:30 to 5 pm. with Sherbrooke Village Costumer Meg Wilcox. Cost is $45 plus HST. ROAD TO STANFEST SONGWRITERS’ CAMP – Improve your abilities in the art, technique & craft of songwriting! Come to the shores of the beautiful St. Mary’s River for a songwriting experience. There will be sing-a-longs, songwriters’ circles and campfires by the river. This is a great opportunity to work with and learn from talented, well known songwriters. Students will have the chance to compete for a special performance spot at the Stan Rogers Folk Festival. SHERBROOKE VILLAGE FIDDLE CAMP – Come to the shores of the beautiful St. Mary’s River for a musical experience. You can improve your fiddle, piano, guitar, banjo and mandolin playing abilities, visit our heritage site and enjoy nature walks and village fun at its best. SHERBROOKE WATERCOLOUR CAMP - Susan Paterson will be leading a four day watercolour painting workshop in Sherbrooke Village. The village offers a wealth of material for painting and has inspired Susan for many years. There will be on-site painting throughout the Village as well as interior and still life work. Students will work at their own pace, on the subject of their choice, while she guides them in drawing, composition, perspective and colour mixing, as well as various watercolour techniques. Each evening the class will get together for a short critique, conversation and socializing. Early registration is recommended as space is limited. Sign up today!
