Explore an Acadian Village, located on a 17-acre panoramic
site overlooking the Pubnico Harbour. In this pre-1920s village, discover
the heart, life and work of the Acadians of Pubnico whose ancestors
were led to this community in 1653 by its founder, Sieur Philippe Mius-d’Entremont.
Hear
Acadian spoken and experience cultural traditions that have existed here
for over 350 years. Discover the Acadians’ traditional ways of
fishing and farming. Come inside and be captured by the industrious
and joyful spirit of an Acadian family at home.
Tour houses, fish sheds, a blacksmith shop and a Visitors' Reception Centre.

From Yarmouth: follow
Hwy 103 north to exit 31. Follow Route 335 south for 10.3km, turn
left on School Street and left again on Old Church Road. Driving
time: 30 minutes.
From Halifax: Follow 103 south until exit 31.

and left again on the Old Church Road. Driving time: 3 hours. |
