Immerse visitors in the stories that define Nova Scotia's maritime heritage. Located at the heart of the historic Halifax waterfront, discover Canada's oldest and largest maritime museum, a premier attraction offering two floors of galleries, exhibits, and displays.
Hear the creak of a ship’s rigging, smell the sharp odor of pine tar, feel the comfort of a deck chair from RMS Titanic, or picture yourself floating above the remnants of an 18th-century shipwreck. Featured exhibits include: Shipwreck Treasures of Nova Scotia, RMS Titanic, the 1917 Halifax Explosion, the Navy and WWII Convoys, Days of Sail, Sable Island and lifesaving, Theodore Tugboat, Smallcraft, Age of Steam and the historic research vessel, CSS Acadia, berthed at the Museum's wharves.

Gallery tours and demonstrations, such as sail-making, rope work or boat-building, are available daily. Maximum recommended group size is 30 people per tour or demonstration. Advance notice is preferred.

Parking is available within “Pay and Display” lots along Lower Water St. Bus pull-off is available for drop off and pick up at museum entrance. Motorcoach parking is not available. |
