Starrs Point, Nova Scotia - Evangeline Trail

Take a ramble in the country to Prescott House Museum at Starrs Point, near Wolfville. The house, built facing the Cornwallis River, is one of the best surviving examples of Georgian architecture in Nova Scotia. Here, horticulturalist Charles Ramage Prescott cultivated Nova Scotia's apple industry from 1811 to 1859.

The house was rescued by Prescott’s great-granddaughter, Mary Allison Prescott, in the 1930s. In this gracious home, see Miss Prescott's collections of oriental rugs and hand-stitched samplers, and enjoy the beautiful flower garden and apple orchard on the grounds.

This site is a delight for visitors interested in classic Georgian architecture, historic gardens and period furnishings.
