Acquisition of the portrait of Susanna Francklin for the collection of the Nova Scotia Museum was made with the generous support of the Nova Scotia Museum Board of Governors through its Endowment Fund, and by the Department of Canadian Heritage with the assistance of a Movable Cultural Property grant accorded by the Minister of Canadian Heritage under the terms of the Cultural Property Export and Import Act.
Michael Francklin's portrait was purchased for the collection of the Nova Scotia Museum in 1982 also with funding support from the Department of Canadian Heritage.
